The DevOps movement has as many definitions as it has practitioners. We believe the core value proposition of DevOps is maximizing the efficiency of software development and operations, reducing the time and overhead of getting usable code from a developer's desk to a customer's product. Each enterprise has unique challenges in optimizing this delivery pipeline, from requirements management, to coordination of multiple developers, to function and performance testing, to creating environments and automating deployments.
2019 DevOpsDays Boise Conference
Our 2019 DevOpsDays Boise Conference was held Thursday, May 30th at JUMP in downtown Boise. We will update this space as plans for our 2020 conference are available.
2019 Keynote Speaker, Google Cloud's Nicole Forsgren, PhD
Nicole is a DevOps research and strategy expert who shows leaders how to make their technology count. Best known as lead on the book Accelerate: State of DevOps, she has helped some of the biggest companies in the world improve their technology work - including culture, process, and architectural aspects. She holds a PhD in Management Information Systems and a Masters in Accounting. She has published several peer-reviewed journal papers and has been awarded public and private research grants (funders include NASA and the NSF), and her work has been featured in various media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, ComputerWorld, and InfoWeek. She has been named a Top 10 Thought Leader and renowned expert in DevOps.
DevOpsDays is a self-organizing conference for practitioners that depends on sponsorships. We do not have sell product presentations or distribute attendee contact lists. Sponsors have the opportunity to have short elevator pitches during the program and will get recognition on the website and social media before, during, and after the event. Sponsors are encouraged to represent themselves by actively participating and engaging with the attendees as peers. Any attendee also has the opportunity to demo products/projects as part of an open space session.
